Disabled Platforms at Hithermoor Relief Lake
After a successful working party last month, there are now two new fishing platforms, which have been constructed for the use of BRPS disabled members. These platforms have been built to specific guildlines for disabled anglers, each of these platforms are approximately 6 metres in length, so there is plenty of room for a disabled angler and anyone traveling with them.
Also you can park directly behind these swims, but unfortunately only if you are a disabled badget holder, which must be displayed in your car windscreen.
You are welcome to fish from these, but priority is for our disabled members and you must move if requested to do so.
Many thanks to Kevin Hopkins and everyone who attended and worked very hard to construct these platforms.
There are also plans to construct more disabled swims and or platforms on other BRPS waters, like Gibraltar Lake in Slough, more news will appear here soon.
Here are some images of the new platforms.
